Hair Care Tips

Taking care of hair extensions requires a bit of extra attention to ensure they remain looking their best and last as long as possible.

Please always wash hair before install (Most of our extensions will come pre-washed)

  • Start by using a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to avoid stripping the extensions of their natural oils.
  • Additionally, brush your extensions regularly with a wide-tooth comb or a brush designed for extensions to prevent tangling and matting.
  • Brush hair before washing for smoother manageable results
  • When detangling while wet, always detangle using the conditioner, starting from the tip and working your way up to the root
  • The wet brush is highly recommended for curly textures
  • Following a hair wash, gently pat dry to eliminate excess water and comb through without any product.
  • Apply a small amount of leave in conditioner to infuse moisture.  (Cream leave in conditioners tend to work best with our Curly extensions. You can also opt to use no product as well).
  • Air dry naturally or a hooded dryer can be used.
  • Blow drying is not recommended because it could potentially cause strand breakage from overheating.(If you do Blow Dry be sure to use Heat Protectant)
  • Use a small quantity of hair oil on the hair each day. A minimal amount is recommended to prevent product accumulation leading to stiff and lifeless extensions.
  • For curly/very wavy hair, applying a liberal amount of leave-in conditioner daily can help manage frizz and enhance curl definition. Opt for cream conditioners for Cambodian Hair.
  • Apply a heat protectant when using flat or curling irons on the hair to reduce breakage.
  • A wide tooth comb or soft tip paddle brush is ideal for combing/brushing through your hair when necessary.
  • Utilize a silk bonnet at night to retain the hair's moisture and prevent breakage.
  • For optimal results when coloring Raw Hair extensions, consult a professional colorist to ensure the best outcome and avoid over processing.
